Leadership
I believe that every student has the potential to be successful in the right environment. I think that establishing a mutual respect between students and educators cultivates the type of environment that leads to success. I love being a part of this unique and innovative approach to education.
Connecting with students to encourage achievement has been driving me since I began in education over 12 years ago. Originally joining the Schools of Eastern Carver County faculty in 2004, I have worked for the past 8 years in a variety of positions within the district. Prior to coming to ISD 112, I spent several years working for MRVSEC in Montgomery, MN and at ISD191 in Burnsville, MN. My educational experience has covered a broad spectrum of students.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education from North Park University in Chicago, IL. I received my Master’s in Special Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University, MN. I am a certified instructor of the Crisis Prevention Institute and teach crisis intervention within the school district.
