Students learn culinary techniques and management skills hands-on from educators in the classroom, but also gain experience with culinary professionals.

Horticulture
We teach environmental studies, ecology, business skills, and teamwork through the lens of the horticultural arts. We partner with the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and other local experts.

Visual Arts
Our teaching methods combine a rigorous curriculum with active learning through the arts. Areas of study include ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, videography, and decorative art.
Happening in Our District
On Friday, representatives from the district and the teacher’s union - the Chaska Education Association (CEA) - met in mediation. During the 20 hours of mediation we worked in earnest to find common ground with the union and will continue to do so. In the early morning hours on Saturday, the district presented the CEA negotiation team a historic offer for our district.
Eastern Carver County School District is excited to name Sam Blank as the next principal of Carver Elementary School. Blank will succeed Ryan Finke, who is leaving the role for a principalship at an international school abroad. He will start his new role on July 1, 2024.
At the Feb. 12 school board work session, Brian Beresford, Leader of Personalized Learning (Elementary), along with elementary literacy coach Carol Redmond and teachers Amy Blake and Joanne Torp, presented about the work being done with our youngest learners with language acquisition and literacy development.
